Brian Albin is an information technology (IT) professional with diverse achievements in operational and strategic initiatives.  His strengths include technology architecture for processes satisfying information lifecycle management (ILM) frame works, operational management and business application development/support.  BrianŐs experience in ILM and other areas of IT can be an asset to companies maintaining ongoing business functions while developing strategies to improve operational efficiency and reduce expenses.

Brian participated in the creation of the ILM framework adopted by a major Wall Street investment bank.   ILM is an industry term for content management from creation to disposition and all phases in between.   HeŐs worked closely with business, legal and record librarians understanding regulatory and business requirements.  This information was used to establish retention schedules, content taxonomies and technology solutions.   Brian is working on complementing these skills as a certified records manager (CRM) candidate through the Institute of Certified Records Managers (ICRM).

Brian has also led large conversion projects introducing operational efficiency and significant cost savings.  He is particularly proud of the positive environmental impact resulting from the conversion of operational reports from paper to electronic format.   This project yielded an annual cost savings of 3 million dollars while eliminating annual usage of 60 million feet of paper for over 15,000 daily reports!

The paper conversion project also leveraged BrianŐs data center operations experience.   He managed staff and infrastructure monitoring a 24x7x365 operation during some of the key milestones of financial services and technology areas.   He and his team ensured all trade, settlement and related bookkeeping processes continued smoothly through the EMU (European Monetary Unit) and Y2K events taking place in 1999 and 2000 respectively.  Brian and his team did this while maintaining stringent service level agreements (SLA) requiring completion of daily processing at least 4 hours before the opening of all global business areas.

Brian resides in Bergen County, New Jersey with his wife and two children.   He is a graduate of Fordham UniversityŐs College of Business Administration and enjoys gardening, bicycling, sports, music and reading in his spare time.
